Every month, one VIP member is chosen at random to receive a personal story critique from Matthew Dicks.

How it works:

1. Submit/Upload your story through the monthly story critique challenge inside the community.
   • Submissions are accepted until 7 days from the start of each challenge.
   • If you're video isn't chosen, you can wait until the next month to re-enter and try again. 
2. The winner is chosen at random and will receive a video of recorded feedback from Matthew Dicks, which will then be shared (with your permission) as a learning resource for the community.
3. Even if you’re not selected, you can watch the critique recordings to learn from others' experiences and insights.

During live Q&A sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions directly through video, or if you prefer, the chat feature. You can also submit your questions ahead of time by emailing [email protected].

Circles are specialized groups within the storytelling community where members can engage in focused discussions around specific topics, themes, or storytelling goals. To participate, simply join a Circle that aligns with your interests and start contributing by sharing stories, insights, or questions. You’ll also receive updates on Circle-specific challenges and events to deepen your involvement.

To share your story, navigate to the Share Your Story section or post directly in a Circle that aligns with your story’s theme. Use the post editor to craft your narrative, add images or videos if needed, and tag your story for better visibility. Don’t forget to review the community’s storytelling tips and guidelines for crafting impactful stories.

To receive feedback, simply post your story and indicate that you’re open to critiques. Other members and moderators can comment, offering constructive insights to help refine your story. To give feedback, read a shared story, and provide thoughtful, supportive comments that highlight strengths and offer suggestions for improvement.

Visit the Challenges and Events section to see the latest opportunities. Challenges often include prompts or themes, while events may feature live sessions or competitions. Follow the instructions provided for each challenge or event, and share your story within the specified deadline. Be sure to engage with other participants by commenting and reacting to their submissions.

Live sessions and workshops are accessible through the Events section on your dashboard. You’ll see scheduled events with dates and times, along with links to join. Simply RSVP to the session you’re interested in, and a reminder will ensure you don’t miss it.
